Tax Associate

Job Summary

As a result of our recent departmental expansions, Andersen Egypt is looking for tax exceptional professionals who are eager to learn and grow within out tax team.
As a tax professional working for Andersen’s Cairo office, you will be exposed to a full range of tax services, comprising both compliance and advisory work. You will be working alongside specialists on a day-to-day basis to broaden your experience of different tax areas , such as helping our clients through planning, financial accounting, tax compliance and maintaining effective relationships with tax authorities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Being the principal contact with clients on day-to-day tax matters.
Responding appropriately to requests from clients.
Prepare corporation tax computations.
Prepare accurate, timely filing of local tax returns and other related filings.
Have fair experience in taxation matters and how to deal with tax authority members.
Being aware of tax updates on the domestic tax law.
Review and organize paperwork, filing documents and records.
Reviewing financial records, income statements, and expenditures.
Consulting with clients, and reviewing their tax information.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records.
Good accounting skills.
Monitors and maintains accurate records of each client’s tax situation.
Formulates, implements and evaluates legal tax reduction strategies.
Ensures clients’ documents and filings are compliant with Tax regulations.
Prepare proposals and engagement letters.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects, e.g., Accounting, Taxation.
At least 2 years experience in either external and/or internal tax function.
Familiar with tax and accounting software and systems
Analytical with strong attention to detail
Good time-management skills
Highly organized
Having the ability to remain calm when under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Fair tax technical knowledge.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);
Good command of English (advanced)
A willingness to learn and gain more experience in taxation.
Takes personal responsibility and accountability for work.
