Senior Associate Attorney

Duties and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive working relationships with clients.
• Draft contracts, minutes of board meetings, etc. Prepare fee matter estimates and quotations
• Handling multiple legal matters simultaneously and independently;
• Responsibility for distribution of assignments, legal and non-legal, among associates/subordinates;
• Responsibility for providing legal services that are legally solid and commercially viable;
• Preparing case studies and memorandums;
• Representing clients independently or alongside other attorneys in all meetings, proceedings, and negotiations;
• Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreements;
• Client management in consultation with Managing Partner and Senior Counsel;
• Reporting to senior management on progress of matters and general performance of the legal teams on a regular basis;
• Creating and maintaining good rapport with the firm’s clients through effective and consistent communication and proper explanation of legal proceedings to clients;
• Preparing reports that keep all stakeholders up-to-date of the progress of a case;
• Attracting new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles and speaking engagements ;
• Participating in business development and marketing related initiatives with a view to building the practice;;
• Coaching & capacity building of assistants and interns including their periodical evaluation;
• Arranging meetings, preparing minutes/reports, organizing departments events and liaison with other departments on administrative matters;
• Tracking department’s open matters, assigning new matters to team members and following-up on these;
• Keeping the Senior Counsel up to date on daily progress of matters;
• Other job related duties as assigned by the management;

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Law from a recognized institute in Egypt or abroad
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic
• Excellent research skills
• Ability to communicate complex legal information in a concise manner
• Strong technical skills and willingness to develop further
• Ability to grow strong client relationship
• Excellent communicator in range of situations both written and oral.
• Client focused and commercially aware.
• Relationship management skills with ability to contribute to client expectations
• Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
• Ability to coach and develop more junior members of the team
• At least 8 – 10 years experience working in corporate legal environment
