Senior Associate Attorney

Job Summary

A Senior Associate should have a high qualification in Law, with 8 to 10 years of experience in the Law field. The candidate should also be licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction. Based on qualifications and interests, the Senior Associate will have the opportunity to work on cases in the firm’s various practice areas primarily within the firm’s corporate department.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build and maintain productive working relationships with clients.
Draft contracts, minutes of board meetings, etc. Prepare fee matter estimates and quotations
Handling multiple legal matters simultaneously and independently;
Responsibility for distribution of assignments, legal and non-legal, among associates/subordinates;
Responsibility for providing legal services that are legally solid and commercially viable;
Preparing case studies and memorandums;
Representing clients independently or alongside other attorneys in all meetings, proceedings, and negotiations;
Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreements;
Client management in consultation with Managing Partner and Senior Counsel;
Reporting to senior management on progress of matters and general performance of the legal teams on a regular basis;
Creating and maintaining good rapport with the firm’s clients through effective and consistent communication and proper explanation of legal proceedings to clients;
Preparing reports that keep all stakeholders up-to-date of the progress of a case;
Attracting new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles and speaking engagements ;
Participating in business development and marketing related initiatives with a view to building the practice;;
Coaching & capacity building of assistants and interns including their periodical evaluation;
Arranging meetings, preparing minutes/reports, organizing departments events and liaison with other departments on administrative matters;
Tracking department’s open matters, assigning new matters to team members and following-up on these;
Keeping the Senior Counsel up to date on daily progress of matters;
Other job related duties as assigned by the management;

Job Requirements:

Degree in Law from a recognized institute in Egypt or abroad
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic
Excellent research skills
Ability to communicate complex legal information in a concise manner
Strong technical skills and willingness to develop further
Ability to grow strong client relationship
Excellent communicator in range of situations both written and oral.
Client focused and commercially aware.
Relationship management skills with ability to contribute to client expectations
Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
Ability to coach and develop more junior members of the team
At least 8 – 10 years experience working in corporate legal environment
