Senior Tax Consultant

Job Summary

As we seek to further grow our tax practice and establish new contacts and engagements with businesses across the region, we are looking for tax professionals who excel at client relationships and who have the confidence and skills to win new work and clients. Business development skills in terms of being able to go out and meet new contacts, recognize their business needs and how we can add value to them by addressing those needs is therefore a key requirement.

As a tax professional working for Andersen’s Cairo office, you will provide a full range of tax services, comprising both compliance and advisory work. You will be working alongside specialists on a day-to-day basis to broaden your experience of different tax areas to help our clients through planning, financial accounting, tax compliance and maintaining effective relationships with tax authorities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of tax services to the clients
  • Grow and maintain business relationship with the clients and provide high levels of client service.
  • Establish relationships both within the firm and externally with the clients to identify new opportunities.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of tax projects ensuring the technical excellence maintaining the needed standards of exceptional client services.
  • Contribute in processing tax audits on both client’s side as well as tax authority’s side.
  • Provide ongoing support to the client on a day-to-day basis where needed.
  • Contribute in coaching and developing our team

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • A degree in accounting and finance
  • Exxperience in tax practice of 5 – 6 years
  • CPA/ACCA/ADIT is a plus
  • Strong technical skills and willingness to develop further
  • Ability to grow strong client relationship
  • Excellent communicator in range of situations both written and oral.
  • Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upward.
  • Client focused and commercially aware.
  • Relationship management skills with ability to contribute to client expectations
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
  • Ability to coach and develop more junior members of the team
  • Experience in advising on both compliance and advisory work.
